Humming the Frank Sinatra song (…come fly with me, let’s fly let’s fly awaaaay…) as I type this. ^_^

Which helped me remember I made a couple of note cards early this year using my heart air balloon design (and which I entitled “Come Fly With Me, Let’s Fly Let’s Fly Away” in my Etsy shop):

Cherry Blossoms

New notecard in my shop! I call it Sakura 2 after my Sakura 1 notecard series. Sakura is Japanese for cherry blossoms.

My Plans For World Domination cahiers have been snatched up pretty quickly lately. I’m planning to add fabric-mounted cahiers to my line of world domination notebooks. Started with a canary-colored one inspired by these:

these are the yellow topaz with diamonds jewelry set i wore to a wedding recently…

…paired with this knee-length canary shift dress encrusted with glass beads on the neck. it has a very conservative front but the back is cut VERY low.

worn with my gold peep-toe high heeled shoes and bright red nail polish (wearing a different dress here in the pic)

I apologize for the lack of posts lately. My Canon G9 went pffft and I have been in a creative rut ever since. The repair guys found out that one of the screws in the camera came loose and short-circuited (is there such a word) the main board – which wasn’t really much of a surprise because I Googled the problem (camera’s power button not working) before going to the Canon service center and discovered that this isn’t an isolated case. The Canon staff even went so far as to insist that I may have dropped the camera, hence the loose screw, and I had to say it was sitting snugly inside my bag before I brought it out and discovered the problem. Common sense: why would I lie to them when it is no longer covered by a warranty? It IS a hardware design problem and the people at Canon should just say so. And may I just add that I was told the turnaround time for giving me a repair quote is 7 days. It’s been 17 days and I’m still waiting for a call from Canon.

Anyway, this isn’t supposed to be a rant post. What I meant to do was give a sneak peek into what I have been up to, craft-wise, by posting some photos I managed to take before my G9 went bust:

swiss cotton fabric in turquoise, citrus green, yellow and magenta. i gocco-printed some designs on them and mounted them on paper board for my handmade notebooks. i’m excited to list them in my shop as soon as i get my camera back.

some geeky gocco’d text on moleskine 3.5″ x 5.5″ cahiers: the black one is for my husband, the ruby one for myself.
